Hello, We are Elizabeth and Lauren Arthur (ages 8 and 6). We were on a bike ride on the Katy Trail which crosses most of the state of Missouri. We live in St. Charles, Missouri in St. Charles County. Our zip is 63303. We spotted 2 monarchs in flight on Sunday, May 4, 1997 at approximately 3:00 PM. It was around 70 degrees. The part of the Katy Trail that we were on was along the Missouri River just north of Hwy 40. We had a great bike ride and were excited that we were able to report our sighting to you.
