Hello, My daughter and I saw our first Monarch Butterfly of the season while sitting in our garden yesterday afternoon, June 12th. We live in the south of Winnipeg. It flitted among the lilac blooms but we were not able to discern the gender. When it landed for a few moments, it did not open its wings.
