The sighting occured at the Grand Forks Air Force Base on June 20,1997 in the backyard of Sgt.David Chaffee. We knew the Monarchs were coming when the Milkweed plants were beginning to reach the 10 inchs of height which is usually the sign of the return of the Monarch.
