Saw my first monarch of the year today at 4 pm.It was bright orange, sex unknown flying west at about 2ft over a meadow of wildflowers. I am in St. Catharines Ontario. That is about 10 miles west of Niagara falls. Lots of milkweed here at about 18"-24" in height.
