Reported last week two *unverified* sightings in Blind River and whined that monarchs NEVER get to Elliot Lake. Well, *finally* they're back - all FIVE of them! These are confirmed/verified as being 5 individuals, not the same one flying around tripping the meter. Those of you who remember some of my postings from last summer KNOW this is great news. To top this all off, I now know that those 5 eggs on my garden milkPLANTS are indeed monarch's - there's hope yet. Will keep you informed how our little "gardens" are growing (suppose I should explain to those new to the list that we are attempting to created habitat by seeding razed mine sites; it's the closest thing to meadows we've got).On the North Channel of Lake Huron, ON, Canada
