Two things, a little diverse. Went to South Kettle Moraine again, just south of Palmyra Wisconsin. Common Milkweed 6-18 inches high. I did not find any eggs or larva.
At a volleyball game in Zion IL, on the shore of Lake Michigan just south of the Wisconsin/Illinois border, a Monarch came through on the wind. It flew west on an East wind off the lake about 6 meters high, and disappeared into the cattail swamp.
