Finally saw my first monarch since last October. A pretty bright female. She was in our back yard fluttering around a small patch of milkweed for about 5 minutes. The patch is very small, only a dozen or two milkweed shoots. It was 12:20 and the temperature here in southeastern New Hampshire was 88 degrees. She didn't stay on any one stalk for more than a few seconds.
