we saw our first ruby-throated hummingbird on 15 May. The male has been showing up earlier every year since we started feeding them; i am convinced its the same one and he knows that if he hovers by the front window, we will move into high gear and get the feeder out. When he showed up this year, it was cold and nothing was blooming at all, but he got his sugar water within an hour (microwaved). At the moment, we have 4 adults and are expecting the fledglings imminently. Marilyn Osborne
