Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 09/02/1997

Number: 1

we have seen many monarchs! When we go to find caterpillars
there are always lots (4-5 or more monarchs flying in the field.
Some fields that are usually filled with caterpillars at this time in
the early fall have very few. Others have more. It seems as
though the hot and dry, very dry summer made them leave
earlier. ? We tagged our first butterfly today for Monarch
Watch.
