My second grade class saw a Monarch butterfly in our courtyard on the way to gym class. We have a butterfly garden, but not many Monarchs have come this year. That is the only one we saw so far.
We wonder if it is because we got new mulch in the garden this year. We could not find any Monarch eggs on the milkweed and many of our caterpillars died after eating our milkweed.
