Today is the first sunshine we have seen since Sunday, Sept. 21. We have had incredible rains and cool weather all week, and were afraid that the butterflies would be gone. However at 10:30 am we observed an average of 6 butterflies in a 5 minute period. The temperature here is 60 degrees and the wind is from the south/southwest at about 5-10 miles per hour. We will keep watching!
