I worked in conjunction with a young man who was working on his Eagle Scout award. My class (third grade) researched and came up with the type, location, and color of flowers for the garden. These drawings were submitted the the young man. He went to area garden stores and purchased the plants with money from our PTO. We have coneflowers, impatients, butterfly bush, butterfly weed, peonies, snapdragons, ageratum, petunias, day lilies, coropsis, parsley, milkweed, and some others I can't remember. It really is pretty. We have also added a hummingbird feeder, two butterfly houses, and a birdbath.
The garden is in a courtyard behind our school. Centerville, Ohio is a
suburb of Dayton, Ohio. The garden is approximately 15' x 15'. We have had some monarchs visit. Mainly, so far, we've had skippers. It was just planted in the early summer. I am going to try to send you a picture.
