I first saw the monarchs on the morning of Sunday 9-21-97. They were flying all over the place. I am very interested in how they ever get to where they are going. Anyways, they were flying everywhere and, sadly, many birds were flying around, too, in the corn or wheat fields, so I honked my horn to try to scare off the birds, so that they wouldn't try to eat any more of the monarchs. That's about it. The birds flew away, and the monarchs kept going.
