Signs of Fall

Date: 10/03/1997

Number: 1

Every year hawks passing by my house in good number in the fall.

1992 - 101 hawks

1993 - 116 hawks

1994 - 166 hawks

*1995 - 555 hawks

*1996 - 1,427? hawks (16 species:Golden and Bald Eagle,N. Goshawk and Peregrine Falcon, these four are the first time over my house)

*1997 - 4,554 hawks (14 species) (all in September)

- many dozens passing by this October.

- many birds clubs in Maryland thinks that I broke the Maryland State Record for being the only person who watch hawks in the backyard 7 days a week and between 2 to 6 hours a day. I live on 3812 White Ave. in northeast Baltimore City.

Also I like to have a data sheet, something like that so I can keep a record of hawks migration(date, species, number of birds, direction:se, s and sw, where spotted, time, wind.
