Hi from Maine,
Today a wonderful event occurred when millions of lady bugs appeared on my house. There were literally hundreds per square inch. The entire sides of my house were covered. They appeared between the hours of 8 and 4pm. By five they were gone only to appear again today, but not as many. Can anyone tell me if they migrate or are trying to hibranate. It has been difficult rounding up the hundreds that got in the house. It was fun and very interesting to see. On 10/4/97 I sighted a blue heron flying over my house. If anyone knows about lady bugs, please write us back.
