I have seen a few monarchs every day for the past few weeks. I normally keep a butterfly net in the car so I can catch and tag monarchs during soccer practice or outside the grocery store or wherever they happen to be. On the 7th we saw one in the back yard, and to my chagrin my net was back at work. I grabbed the next best thing - a large, green aquarium net - and caught the monarch in it! She is the 12th I have tagged this year.
