One of my students from last year found a Monarch on his way to school. It was a very cool morning, in the low 40's And the day before we had a VERY heavy frost. The student brought it to school aand was warmiing it by a radiator when I got in. I took
it to the classroom and then went and picked some milkweek for it. When we left school Friday afternooon it was fine but it had died over the week-end. The students were very surprised that it was still here seeiing we had several morning with frost. Since
then the weather conditions have improved but we haven't sighted anymore butterflies.
