Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 10/10/1997

Number: 1

We have been watching for monarchs, orioles and robins for 20 minutes every Wednesday and Friday. We only saw one monarch on 10/10/97 during this observation time. Some students think we will see some more monarchs, some think they have already passed through our town. One student reports he saw 18 monarchs on 10/11 and 10/12 at his home. Another saw one on 10/13 and one on 10/14. There was another that was having problems flying on 10/16. On 10/13 a studnet went to New Hampshire and spotted a monarch. All together we saw about 43 monarchs over the past week around town. Of course many could be the same monarch in different parts of town.
