Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 10/17/1997

Number: 1

Our high temp. today was around 55 degrees ...with a low temp. of only 47 chilly degrees. Brrr! Two days,Wednesday and Thursday, the 15 tth and 16th brought icy windshields and porches! Saturday, the 11th students reported seeing lone monarchs flying in various places around the county ... however, since the frosty mornings out only sighting has been of two dead monarchs by Nioka Brewer, 8th grade student in Mrs. O's class, (5th pd), and Dean and Preston Visser in Mrs. O's 4th and 1st pd. classes. The news about our butterflies reaching Minnesota is very exciting. We are anxious to know they have arrived safely in Mexico!
