Tulips PLANTED

Date: 10/21/1997

Number: 1

Today the second grade students planted 81 Red Emperor tulip bulbs along the sidewalk in front of our school. Each student planted 2 bulbs. They used a bulb planter to dig a hole, they measured the holes with a 7 inch marker for depth and used a 4 inch marker for spacing. We covered with soil and leaves gathered from our schoolyard and Mrs. Hollis and Mrs. Dubay are going to cover our garden with chicken wire because we have a lot of squirrels in our school yard.
