Tulips PLANTED

Date: 10/16/1997

Number: 1

We planted our 50 bulbs on Oct. 16. It was quite an adventure.
17 Third Graders and one teacher planted out in the front of our
school entrance. The students were really excited. It was a
beautiful fall day, bright orange and yellow maple trees and all!
We had to create the beds and the work was quite hard really.
We loved it. Really looking forward to seeing them in the spring.
We had our first freezing weather today. It was raining lightly and all of a sudden it was hailing. At first we thought that it was
snowing! The first snow is always so exciting. Before I know it
most of the class was outside running and jumping with joy!
We're past peak with the foliage and many leaves are down.
31 degrees at 8 PM tonight.
