I saw 4 monarchs between 11:00 am and 12:00 noon today. Two were
flying about 5 to 10 feet above the ground. The other two were
approximately 30 to 40 feet up. They all were traveling in a southwesterly direction. The temperature was 60 degrees with mostly sunny skies and sw-w winds at 15 mph gusting to 25 mph at the time of the sightings. I hoped to see more monarchs but the winds continued to increase and gusted as high as 40 mph later in
the day.
