Nov. 7, 4:55 p.m. while driving past a rock quarry on the north edge of Atlantic, Max said, "I think I see a whooper!" It was on a rocky edge of the quarry, then lifted its magnificent black-tipped wings and entered the water. It came closer to us (150 yrds?). We returned at about 5:20 but the crane was no longer there.
