The second graders at Harvey Green School went to Ardenwood Farm in Fremont to see the overwintering monarchs. There we 20,000 up in the eucalyptis trees, but it was so cold out we only saw one flying! The children enjoyed seeing the ones on the ground.The group that went in the afternoon managed to see one small cascade. We learned a lot about monarchs from the slide show there.
