Friday, January 9th, the second grade class at Brownfields Elementary Magnet School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana hosted a tulip planting party. We planted 200 tulip bulbs. We had lots of parents and friends present, and also received planting tips from a local nursery. The children presented a wonderful program and we had refreshments afterwards. We even had a tulip cake. Our local newspaper covered the event and we are now anxiously awaiting the emergence of our tulips.
