Mid-coast of Texas (between Corpus and Galveston). Extremely warm winter (El Nino!). Two mornings at 32 degrees and only 2 hours below 32 degrees the entire winter! Trees already have new leaves and hibiscus are beginning to bloom outside. The Asclepias curassavica (milkweed) bloomed all winter. Pentas, salvias, sage, wild flowers, even tomatoes blooming. Indian paintbrushes seen along roadsides this week. SPRING! Harlen
