On February 9, 1998, much to our surprise we saw a tulip that had bloomed. But, the surprise was that our or Tulip was pale yellow not a beautiful red. We ordered 200 Red Emperor tulips from "Holland
Bulb Company." We have several others that are beginning to bloom and all of them look yellow. We can't understand what happened.
Please let us know if anyone else had this strange sighting.






Our box was labeled Red Emperor Tulips. Our weather here in Baton Rouge has been very warm for this time of
year, but the children said" I don't think the warm
weather made them turn yellow and not look like a
tulip." The petals on our tulips are split.
