Signs of Springs notes from Main Elementary, 2nd Grade Class, Kodiak, Alaska.
Feb. 15th. We have had two days of sunny weather and then snow again
today, but after walking in the woods on Friday we spotted budding
salmonberry and blueberry bushes. The lakes are still frozen all
around town, but the tulips in front of our school are starting to show
green leaves. Eagles are here all year but are very active in the
cannery area looking for food. We await the whales to pass by our
community in late March into April.
