Tulips EMERGED

Date: 02/10/1998

Number: 1

The first graders think it's spring! El Nino
has kept temperatures in the 50's with no snow at all this winter. We saw 24 tulips emerging in our garden and measured them. The tallest was 4.5 centimenters. We are keeping a tulip journal and drew a picture of it. Our daffadils were planted are ready to burst into bloom, and there are buds on the magnolia and cherry trees. We've had terrible rain storms with lots of flooding.
