Today, on Febrary 26, 1998 we went outside to the location of our tulips. When we approached the sighting, we noticed there were small, red buds, about the size of a thumbnail in the tulip bed. We planted them in the fall in the shape of a W and then a B, for our town of West Boylston. On the side of the W we saw more buds than on the side of the B. We planted about two hundred tulips, we saw about ten tulips which are budding. On the tip of about four tulips, we also noticed a little bit of green. Near the tulips there were a lot of weeds. We are afraid not all of them will not grow because the weeds will strangle and destroy the tulips. The weather here has been rather warm and wet lately. That is why we think the tulips came up early. We predicted in the fall that they would not come up until mid or late spring. Hopefully, all of the tulips will bloom beautifully!
