We got out of the car to check: could it really be true? The first robin we've seen this year! It was pecking on the ground, waiting, pecking some more, hopping from place to place. Nearby was a rather large flock of redwing blackbirds. Now, what we don't know is whether this was an over-wintering robin. We haven't seen any over-wintering robins here before, but who knows?
