Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 03/01/1998

Number: 1

Mid-Coast of Texas: Saw Monarchs nectoring on the gold and the orange lantana today. A male at 1:30 and a female at 2:30. Both were in good shape. Weather: light north breeze, 63-65 deg, and clear. Both left towards the south when I attempted to net them ... but they were easily alarmed ... not like fall Monarchs. Butterfly garden is as pretty now as in May last year. Harlen
