The first robin has returned about 3 weeks earlier than last year. It has been a very different winter, with the most dramatic event being the devastating ice storm to hit the area in early January. Our snowfall total for the year is about 30" behing last year. At the present time our daytime temperature is above freezing and there is no snowpack on the ground.
