We live on the St. Lawrence r. at the tip of NYS. Much of the river in the city never freezes because of rapid water. We have a large net to break up the ice where it does freeze from NYS to Canada. It is all out! Even the mouth of the Oswegatchie! Usually you see ice floating for days - no ice in site except of a few bays.
