This is not a first sighting.
I observed a flock of 20+ robins feeding in a crab apple tree near my feeding stations. We had received several inches of snow during the night & morning, and the robins were pecking at old fallen fruit. Also several birds were feeding under our trampoline where the grass was still uncovered by snow. We have had an unuasually mild & dry winter. This snowfall is one of the heaviest we have experienced.
