Students in my seventh grade life science class have found pussy willows in bloom. Journey North is inspiring my adolescents who appear to have a new interest in spring. They have actually invited friends to go on walking tours through their neighborhoods as they look for "evidence." We live in the watershed area of northern New Jersey and the students take nature for granted, they've experienced it through much of their lives. This program is sparking their interest.
