Our San Diego tulip garden bloomed as of 3/3/98. We planted 35 bulbs, but only 21 plants are up due to heavy rains this year. The El Nino weather put our tulip bed under water for days at a time. The plants that have emerged are of a wide range of heights. We think this might be due to the variations in the flooding water. The other big surprise was that the tulips I order through your contact send me yellow tulips. I ordered the red Emperor ones, so I don't know what happened. As a result, I would think our statistics are invalid this year. Thanks, Jane Ditmars
