WE have been keeping the ground temperatures in our tulip garden up until this last weekend when it disappeared under 14 inches of snow. At that time we couldn't find the place where we had been putting in the thermometer and figured the tulips were safer under the snow than out in the record cold temperatures. We have been having lows this whole week below zero. This is what usually follows our January blizzards not the March ones! We'll let you know how our tulips survive when the snow melts!
