Robin (First SEEN)

Date: 02/23/1998

Number: 1

Hi! We're a fourth grade class at Selzer School in Dumont, NJ.
Our teacher is Mr. Mathason. We're following the migration of the American Robin. We have been calculating the average weekly temperature since Feb. 22. The average temperature for that week was 45°F. For the week of March 2 it was 45°F. On Feb. 23, a third grader, Diane McDermott, spotted our first robin. Since then many of us have spotted robins. This week the temperature has droppped. Yesterday, (3/11) the high was only 33°F. We hope they don't decide to go back south.
