February 25, 1998 was the date we first tapped our sugar malpe trees. However, this has been a poor sap season. Sap was slow in Feb., picked up a little in the beginning of March, and then we had a cold snap from approx. March 7- March 17. Just recently, Mar. 17, 18 the sap has began to run again.
