We saw our first EVER blue jay! We often get stellars jays and scrub jays here--about 10 miles from the foothills of the Rockies, but we've never gotten a real blue jay before. I've heard of them way to the east, but not this close to Denver! S/he hopped around our backyard eating the kids' leftover toast crusts and some bird feed we'd thrown on the ground. Hurray for us!
