On satulrday March 28, 1998 lake Meauwataka was 85% ice covered.
Sunday the ice was receding very rapidly. All the ice was gone on monday. Then the first loon appeared on Tuesday. The weather was cool and heavy rain at times. Rained all evening.
We have not yet seen the loon today.
