On March 26 (Thursday Last week) on my way from Baton Rouge to Shreveport,
LA I saw one additional Monarch on I-49 near Cheneyville LA. in southeast
Rapides, Parish. It flew across highway heading northeast but there were
very strong southwest to n.east winds that day so its direction was
determined more by the wind than its anything it could do on its own other
than stay aloft.

I have a friend who saw "many" monarchs along the LA coast a week or so ago
and will get the date, location, estimates to you soon.
