I was out fishing early friday morning for Walleye on the Chain of Lakes in northern Illinois. All of the sudden I hear this splash on the water. As I turn my head, I saw this ripple on the top of the surface. All of the sudden, I noticed that there was something coming up from the bottom of the lake. At first I thought it was just another bufflehead, but as I looked at the birds markings,I noticed it was a loon. It was a beautiful sight even though it did not last long.It dived back under looking for food.
