Here in piedmont North Carolina, about 250 miles from the coast, I
discovered about 25 monarch eggs on my newly emergent, garden-variety
milkweed. I did not see the female depositing the eggs. Has anyone else in
the Carolinas sighted any monarchs yet? Is this a record?
