Robin (First SEEN)

Date: 03/21/1998

Number: 1

I don't know if I can really give you a better date. A few
robins actually overwinter practically every winter in the Juneau area,
and they often overwinter in Southeast Alaska, but in the more southern
portions. So, what is a first arrival? I reckon you mean when do we
see our first flocks of robins? The March 21 date is probably as good
as we can get for this spring. We don't have lots of birders here, but
I know several robins were seen by a couple of earnest birders on that
day, and none had been seen for some time. There are currently many
more robins in Juneau; they are everywhere.
