Robin (First SEEN)

Date: 04/16/1998

Number: 1

First robins were heard rather than spotted April 16th here. The Innoko River ice is getting pretty rotten but not flowing yet. We had a dry winter and we hear we are going to have a dry summer. Weather folks predict another heavy fire season. I know it is looking very, very dry around here this spring.

First geese and swans were here about the same time as the robins. I'm always amazed at how they arrive like clockwork each year barely a day off from other years no matter if it's an El Nino year or not.

Take care.
