Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 04/13/1998

Number: 1

Seen 6:10 p.m. on a 70F degree day. Student reported that he thought it was newly hatched because it had "bright and colorful wings." As a class we have not gone into details about reporting as I believe it is too early to have any sitings in our area yet. Nor have we gone over the difference between viceroys as compared to monarchs. Have not spotted milkweed yet, but there have been fruit trees budding and tulips, daffodils, hyacinths in bloom. Please note that Dave is the student's LAST name.
