Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 04/30/1998

Number: 1

I saw a single monarch in my neighbors tulips very close to my driveway. It was a sunny, warm day, about 78 degrees f. with no wind. I had just arrived from school about three pm. the wings were very faded and it was fluttering slowly near a couple of red tulips. while I watched, it slowly flew away beyond a fence and out of sight. I watched a few more minutes but saw nothing else.
