The monarch was sighted in the school yard at 8:55 a.m.by Jake Johnson. The sky was overcast. The weather had been rainy and cloudy for 3 days. The butterfly's wings were brightly colored and it was on the ground, moving its wings up and down. At this time of year the rhododendrons, azaleas and forsythias are in bloom.
